A War Time House Gets Transformed - Exterior Renovation

We were subcontracted to do the exterior of this war time house. After WW2 small 1 1/2 storey buildings were erected for soldiers in Orangeville. Two story homes were taxed higher than the 1-1/2 storey homes, and this design was easier to heat.

ASG strapped and affixed exterior insulation for added R value. Then used Mitten vinyl siding, D4.5 Dutchlap horizontal on the lower and Board and Batten on the upper providing a great contrast for the eye.

The white aluminum of the soffit, fascia, eavestrough and the capping on the columns accents the lines of the building and breathes new life into this gem.
